The City of Kingston is turning off replies and direct messages on its X accounts (@CityofKingston and @KingstonTransit) effective February 1, 2025.
This change follows increased spam, inflammatory comments, and reduced platform effectiveness.
Despite this, X will remain a tool for sharing municipal updates.
Residents are encouraged to connect via other social media channels, Get Involved Kingston, or the City’s Customer Experience team.
