Frontenacs surge up the standings after perfect road trip.
The Kingston Frontenacs head into the final week of the Ontario Hockey League regular season riding momentum from three straight road wins that boosted the club into sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
Director of ticketing and marketing strategies Colton Robb says the six-point weekend - victories over Niagara, Erie and Mississauga - dramatically changed the standings picture.
The Frontenacs now hold a three-point cushion over Niagara with three games remaining, though Robb says the race is far from settled.
Kingston hosts the Barrie Colts tonight at Slush Puppie Place in what could preview a first-round matchup.
Robb says if the regular season matchups are any indication, fans are in for a good one.
The Frontenacs wrap up the regular season Friday at home against rival Peterborough before closing on the road Sunday. Playoff tickets for tentative home games March 31 and April 2 are already on sale.
Fans can listen to every game, home and away on New Country 98.9 with Jim Gilchrist calling the action.
