Frontenacs retool roster, name new captain and set sights on playoff climb.
The Kingston Frontenacs are navigating a period of change while staying firmly in the playoff hunt, according to Colton Robb on the latest What’s Good with the Kingston Frontenacs? podcast.
The club recently named Van Williamson as the 48th captain in franchise history.
Robb said the appointment brings stability during a transition.
Roster changes have followed several trades, including the departure of Jacob Battaglia. General manager Corey Cooper turned that move into eight draft picks, later using some to acquire Slovak forward Alex Misiak from Erie.
In the standings, Kingston sits seventh with 38 points through 39 games, still chasing home-ice advantage.
The Frontenacs continue a road swing through Saginaw, Flint, and Sarnia before returning home January 16 for a mental health awareness game. Fans can also find the new Family Four Pack ticket offer at KingstonFromtenacs.com.
Listen to all three road games this weekend on Upper Canada Fuel & Burner Kingston Frontenacs Hockey live on New Country 98.9. Jim Gilchrist, as always on the call.
