The Kingston Frontenac Public Library (KFPL) encourages readers of all ages to join theirSummer Reading Challenges!
Whether you’re in search of adventure, mystery or inspiration, KFPL has something for everyone to enjoy at their own pace, with chances to win fantastic prizes all summer long. To participate, kids, teens and adults must register and track their summer reading on Beanstack, a digital platform available both on desktop and as a mobile app for library card-holders.

All Summer Reading programs are free with a library card. Registration opens on June 6th.
Participants can register at any KFPL branch or online through Beanstack. Kids ages 0 to 5 can track listening and reading time in 20-minute intervals and complete fun activities to earn badges on Beanstack.

Kids ages 6 to 12 can track their reading and listening in 30-minute intervals and complete fun activities to earn badges on Beanstack. Random draws will be held in June, July and August.
A paper booklet will not be available this year, but children and their caregivers are encouraged to visit the Library each week to chat with staff about their reading, receive a sticker, and add their name to the achievement wall.
Summer Reading for Teens the Book-it List Reading Challenge returns! Teens can complete activities, write reviews and log reading minutes on Beanstack to earn badges or tickets. Each badge/ticket gives the reader an entry into weekly prize draws for prizes. Each also counts as an entry into the Grand Prize draw.
Summer Reading for Adults. Adults are invited to participate in the Bask in Books Summer Reading Challenge! Adults can earn tickets on Beanstack by completing activities, writing reviews and logging minutes read. Each ticket counts as an entry into weekly prize draws. They also serve as entries into the Grand Prize draw.
