What's Good Near Kingston: Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon

The Township of South Frontenac are acknowledging the hard work and dedication of volunteers.

Communities are often run on volunteers.

That is why the Township of South Frontenac is holding a special luncheon to honour those who put their time and effort in helping organizations.

It is happening Sat. Nov. 15 at Storrington Centre from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Recreation Coordinator at the Township Amanda Pantrey says the luncheon is open to any volunteer from South Frontenac.

South Frontenac Mayor Ron Vandewal will be the emcee. There will also be awards for volunteers in three categories: Youth Volunteerism, Good Neighbour, and Dedication Recognition.

Pantrey says a good number of people have shown up to the luncheon over the last few years.

Pantrey says volunteers come from just about every area.

The luncheon is free to attend but an RSVP is required. Plus-ones are welcomed. Volunteers are encouraged to register online before Nov. 7.

RSVP and the special recognition nomination form can be found on our website at the Township of South Frontenac website
