What's Good near Kingston: This free music festival is back—and bigger than ever

South Frontenac welcomes crowds to a full day of live music and family fun at Centennial Park.

A popular summer tradition is returning to the region as the Summer Kickoff Music Festival heads back to Centennial Park on May 23.

Hosted by the Township of South Frontenac, the free event runs from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and features a full lineup of Canadian performers, including Lukas Oak, Whiskey Smoke and The Adam Knapp Band.

Recreation and Events Coordinator Amanda Pantry says there’s music for everyone.

Organizers say the fourth annual festival is designed to bring the community together to celebrate the start of summer with live music, food vendors and family-friendly activities.

Pantry says it’s about more than just the season.

Visitors can also enjoy food vendors, artisan booths and family-friendly activities.

Pantry explains more.

She says this event is for all ages.

Admission is free, with donations accepted to support future events.
