Loyalist Township will be selling trees to residents at a discounted price.
Loyalist Township is having a one-day sale on trees.
It will take place Wed Mar 18 at 12 Noon. They will be selling 250 trees online for $25 per tree that would normally sell between $165 to $175 per tree.
Climate Action Coordinator Dan Hendry says they first launched the program last year and it quickly became popular.
Hendry says there will be a number of different species of trees available for purchase.
The ResiLienT Loyalist Township Climate Action Plan would see 20,000 trees planted in the Township over the next ten years.
The sale of the trees is only to residents of Loyalist Township (Amherstview, Odessa, Bath, Amherst Island) and only available online.
Hendry says it is first come, first serve, and expects to sell out fast.
More information on the Community Tree Initiative can be found on the Loyalist Township website.
