What’s Good in Kingston? United Way KFL&A names 2025 campaign chair

The 85th annual campaign kicks off on Friday, Sept. 5, 2025

The United Way of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington has announced that longtime volunteer and local business owner Leanne O’Mara will chair the 2025 fundraising campaign.

2024 Campaign chair Joanne Langlois passed on the torch during the volunteers awards luncheon on Tuesday. Looking back on her campaign, she thanked the volunteers in he room as the workplace campaigns made up 61% of their total of over $4 million.

O’Mara brings over 20 years of community service experience and previously served as chair of the United Way Board of Directors in 2020.

She will lead the campaign alongside a team of volunteers to build on the success of last year’s efforts. The campaign raises funds for local programs supporting people facing homelessness, food insecurity, addiction, and mental health challenges.

More details will be shared in the coming months.
