Great opportunity to learn more about turtles in Kingston
Turtles Kingston is back with one of their popular free events, the Turtle Walk and Workshop, this Thursday (May 29th) at Douglas Fluhrer Park on Wellington Street. It starts at 5:30 pm and runs to 6:30.
Science Coordinator Lesley Rudy explains what it's all about.
While the focus will be for adults, kids are always welcome. Past editions of this informative session have been well received and attended.
Turtles face constant challenges and struggles for survival, especially in urban environments and Lesley says help is needed.
Turtles Kingston will be holding youth-oriented turtle trials events starting June 8th at the same park, where children aged 4-13 can learn about those challenges. Registration and full details can be found at turtleskingston.com or on their Facebook page.
