The 8th annual event collects food donations for the Partners in Mission food bank.
There will be lots of opportunities for people to 'Care' this weekend in Kingston.
The 8th annual Weekend of Care-ing is taking place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at three locations across the city.
The event is collecting donations of non-perrishible food items for the Partners in Mission food bank.
Organizer Care Humphries says there are a list of items that the food bank are in need of.
Humphries established the Weekend of Care-ing in 2018 as a way to give back to the community.
Donations will be collected at the Food Basics on Highway 15 on Friday from 2 pm to 6 pm, during the Chinlock Wrestling event at the West End Community Centre Saturday from 3 pm to 6 pm, and Giant Tiger at the RioCan Centre Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.
Humphries says it is great to see everyone come out and donate each and every year.
