People are being encouraged to take a hike for MS
The annual MS Walk is taking place Sunday May 25 at Lake Ontario Park in Kingston.
This is the third year for the Kingston-Belleville event which sees participants walk go along a 5 km route.
The cities previous had their own walks: Kingston since 2003 and Belleville since 1998.
Coordinator Jodi Matthews says they are expecting around 80 participants at this year's event.
Matthews says for those who can't walk but want to be a part of the festivities, there are other things to do there.
Matthews says the event is a way to bring together people in the region who are suffering or are affected by those who have multiple sclerosis.
