BGC South East event on Aug. 15 will feature dozens of activities for children and families
Kingston families can get ready for a day of fun at the annual Tamarack Teddy Bear Party on Aug. 15.
The event, presented by Tamarack Homes and hosted by BGC South East, runs from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the BGC West End Community Centre in Frontenac Mall at 1300 Bath Road. Director and Resource Development and Communications Amanda Guarino says this wouldn't be possible without Tamaracks support.
The event is expected to welcome more than 1,000 families and will feature bouncy castles, face painting, a jungle gym, a sensory room, live entertainment and community activities.
Children can also bring their teddy bears to the popular Dr. Goodbear Clinic for a special check-up.
New this year is a Teddy Bear Cycling Course for children ages three to eight.
The outdoor zone will include inflatables, a fire truck, Paint the Bus and construction equipment through the Tomlinson Touch A Truck.
Guarino shares another new feature this year.
The first 100 families to purchase tickets will receive a voucher for a free large Domino’s pizza.
Proceeds support BGC South East mentoring programs serving local youth.
