Spirit of Winter: Enchanted sees Springer Market Square turn into a winter wonderland.

Get ready to explore a winter wonderland in downtown Kingston.

The Downtown Kingston BIA is hosting Spirit of Winter: Enchanted, an event that is described as a magical winter celebration in the heart of the downtown.

The event will feature an illuminated forest trail with glowing trees and whimsical creatures.

There will also be plenty of other activities for people to do at Springer Market Square as events manager Sandi Griffiths explains.

A new attraction at the Spirit of Winter: Enchanted is the snow domes located at the City Hall amphitheatre.

Griffiths says people can rent out these snow domes for any occasion.

There are also iceberg sculptures from the 2023 Waawaateg installation. It is a light and sound experience which celebrated Indigenous art and storytelling.

Griffiths says the event is a way for people to have a great time outdoors in the middle of winter.

The Spirit of Winter: Enchanted kicked off on Sunday and will go until Family Day Feb. 16. For more information, go to their website
