A day to ignite your imagination.
Set to spark curiosity and hands-on discovery, Science Rendezvous Kingston 2026 returns on Saturday May 9th with a full day of free, family-friendly programming at Slush Puppie Place in downtown Kingston.
It brings together researchers, students, and community groups from Queen's University and beyond, offering interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, and engaging talks designed to make science accessible to all ages. Organizers say the event continues to grow each year, building excitement around STEM while showcasing local innovation and discovery.
Faculty lead and Rendezvous founder Lynda Colgan tells us what it's all about.
There will be more than 60 interactive booths with chemistry experiments, physics demonstrations, stage shows, and plenty of audience participation and more. Science Rendezvous runs from 10 am to 3 pm with free admission and free parking at Fort Henry with free round-trip shuttle service.
Colgan says with all that's available to see and do, plan to spend some serious time having a blast.
There will even be a sensory-free zone on the third level to make this experience totally accessible to all.
Colgan says the aim is to prove to everyone that anyone can be a scientist and the need for more interest in science has never been greater.
Rendezvous has been running since 2011 with the number of attendees growing exponentially each year. To get all the details head to queensu.ca/science-rendezvous and get set to ignite your imagination.
