
$3.8M has been raised over the last 27 years of the golf fundraiser.
The greens at the Cataraqui Golf and Country Club had a splash of pink to it.
The venue hosted the 27th annual Rose of Hope Golf Tournament on Tuesday.
Rose of Hope Chair Sherri McCullough says the atmosphere was great with 38 all-female foursomes taking part in the tournament.
$285,000 was generated from this year's tournament that will go towards establishing the Rose of Hope Clinical Chair in Breast Health at Kingston Health Sciences Centre.
McCullough says this will improve the way care is delivered to patients.
Funds from the previous three tournaments went towards a new $1 million magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine.
McCullough says work is currently underway at Breast Imaging Kingston to install the new machine that will allow more patients to be screened.
A total of $3.8 million was raised over the 27 years of the tournament for breast cancer research.
