What's good in Kingston? Recognizing people who help our kids!

SEHU set to honour special individuals

The South East Health Unit is celebrating people who make a big difference in the lives of children and youth across Leeds, Grenville and Lanark.

Dr. Linna Li, Deputy Medical Officer of Health, and Tawnya Boileau, School Health Coordinator, spoke about the “Asset Builders” campaign, recognizing those who are part of the Every Kid in our Communities of Leeds & Grenville and the Lanark County Child & Youth Services Collaborative.

Boileau said the public can nominate “Asset Builders.”

Nominations are open until May 15 at everykid.on.ca

Honourees will be recognized at events on June 22 in Brockville at the YMCA of Eastern Ontario, and on June 25 at the Lanark County Council meeting.

Dr. Li says programs like this help create strong, safe communities by promoting adult-youth relationships that support healthy development.
