The 12th annual Pull for Epilepsy Fire Truck Pull is happening July 20 at Confederation Park
Think you and your family, friends, co-workers, or classmates can pull a full-size fire truck?
Epilepsy South Eastern Ontario are having their 12th annual Pull for Epilepsy Fire Truck Pull at Confederation Park on July 20.
The fundraising event sees teams of eight try and pull a 37,000-pound fire truck 100 feet down Ontario St.
Executive Director Christina Lord says anyone who is in great physical shape can take part in this event.
Money raised from the event will go towards programs and services that help the 4,000 people in Ontario who are living with epilepsy.
Lord says it is a fun, family event but it also has an important message.
$24,000 was raised last year and Lord is hoping to match or exceed that number this year.
She says the distance of the fire truck pull is significant.
People can register their teams of eight by going to the Canada Helps website here.
