BGC South East are selling pink-coloured merchandise ahead of Pink Shirt Day on Feb 25.
The Boys and Girls Club South East are preparing to cover the city of Kingston pink!
Wednesday Feb. 25 is Pink Shirt Day, a day where people are encouraged to wear pink clothing in support of anti-bullying initiatives.
For the last 15 years, BGC South East have held a fundraising campaign by selling pink coloured shirts.
Last year, the campaign provided over 1,000 shirts to children and youth, reaching over 30,000 community members and engaging more than 40 local businesses.
Director of Resource Development and Communications Amanda Guarino says they will be selling other pink-coloured clothing in addition to the shirts.
This year's slogan is "Kindness Starts With Me", which focuses on the role people play in creating safe, welcoming spaces for children and youth of all abilities.
With Boys and Girls Club programs expanding into Brockville, Leeds, and Grenville, Guarino says this is an opportunity to spread that message out.
She says everyone in the community gets involved for this very important fundraiser.
Special BGC South East Pink merchandise is available by going to their Shopify page until Feb 4. (https://bgcpinkshirtday.ca/)
Guarino says having safe spaces in our community is important in youth development.
This year's Pink Shirt Day campaign is presented by Brookland Homes. 98.3 FLY FM is proud to be the official media partner of Pink Shirt Day 2026.
