The 6th annual campaign by the United Way collects menstrual hygiene products.
The United Way Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington is launching the sixth year of its Period Promise campaign as demand for menstrual hygiene products continues to rise across the region.
CEO John DiPaolo says the campaign has grown into a major community-wide donation drive.
Last year, the campaign collected and distributed 131,000 units of product. DiPaolo expects the need to be even higher this year as families struggle with rising costs.
Donations can be dropped off at the Cataraqui Centre, Loblaws, select Scotiabank branches in Kingston, and the L&A library branches in Napanee and Amherstview.
Monetary donations can also be made online at the United Way KFL&A website.
