Rock for Ryandale returns July 18 at The Spire, bringing live music, a silent auction and support for transitional housing programs.
Local musicians will take the stage later this month to raise money for Ryandale Transitional Housing, a Kingston organization that helps people experiencing homelessness transition to stable, independent living.
Rock for Ryandale is set for July 18 at The Spire, 82 Sydenham St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and performances begin at 6 p.m.
Hosted by Kingston singer-songwriter Carrick McAllister, the fundraiser will feature performances by Lukey Pell, StunSeed, Starfish Psyche, John Torres, Creatures of Habit and Mike Brown.
Musician and organizer Shannon Smith explains more.
The event will also include a silent auction, with all proceeds supporting Ryandale’s housing and support programs.
Ryandale Transitional Housing works to provide safe, sober accommodation and connect residents with essential services. The organization aims to bridge the gap between emergency shelter use and sustainable independent living while promoting dignity, inclusion and hope.
Smith says all the money from the tickets goes directly towards Ryandale.
Organizers are encouraging residents to attend, enjoy an evening of local entertainment and help support community programs that provide housing, stability and opportunities for people rebuilding their lives in Kingston and the surrounding KFL&A region.
