Handmade for Humanity Market will feature local vendors, live music, food and a 50/50 raffle
Kingston residents can shop local and support affordable housing at the Handmade for Humanity Artisan Market on Aug. 22.
Habitat for Humanity Kingston Limestone Region and Made SO Collective are hosting the free, by-donation event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Habitat for Humanity Kingston ReStore at 607 Gardiners Road. ReStore Operations Coordinator, Emily explains more.
The ReStore parking lot will be transformed into a gathering space for local artisans and resellers, offering handmade goods and other finds.
The event will also feature a barbecue, live music and a 50/50 raffle, with donations supporting Habitat for Humanity's affordable housing work.
Organizers say the fundraiser will help support efforts to build affordable homes for local families across Kingston, the Limestone region, Frontenac, Loyalist, and Lennox and Addington. Emily explains they'd like to bring in more of the community.
Everyone is welcome to attend the event, which aims to celebrate local talent while raising awareness and funds for affordable housing.
The Handmade for Humanity Market is free to attend, with donations encouraged.
