The fundraiser for blood cancer research goes next Saturday Sept. 27.
There is an event happening in Kingston for blood cancer research.
Light the Night is taking place this Saturday night at the Queen's School of Medicine building on Arch St.
One of the organizers, Daniella Good, says the goal is to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.
There are other Light the Nights events happening across Canada.
Good says this one is organized by volunteers and it is a way to bring people together who share something in common.
The event sees participants gathering around holding different coloured lanterns each representing different groups.
Good says everyone will walk around Kingston General Hospital starting around 6 pm.
For more information and to register, go to the Light the Night Kingston website.
You can also learn more about the walk on their Facebook page.
