Downtown Kingston turns into a Swiftie paradise with week-long Taylor Swift celebration.
Downtown Kingston is rolling out the red carpet for Taylor Swift fans with a week-long celebration ahead of the superstar’s new album, Life of a Showgirl.
From Sept. 26 to Oct. 2, local businesses, restaurants and venues will host “Life of a Swiftie,” featuring themed events, sweet treats and tributes inspired by Swift’s music.
Nayeli Salazar, Video Producer Officer & Events Strategist explains why Swifties are so excited to get involved.
Swifties can take part in dance parties, trivia nights, karaoke and live performances, with highlights including a listening party at Agent 99 x Lay Low and a Taylor Swift tribute show at the Grand Theatre. Fitness fans can even join Swift-inspired pilates or pole classes, while crafters can create friendship bracelets or embroidered totes.
Salazer also brings up how powerful the Swifties connection with each other is.
Downtown eateries and cafés are also serving limited-time menu items, from “Showgirl Citrus Spark” cookies at 23&co. to “Midnight Margaritas” at Harper’s.
Organizers say the event will transform Kingston into a Wonderland for fans. Full details are available at downtownkingston.ca.
