The Arrogant Worms will bring musical comedy to The Spire while local speakers highlight the importance of music education.
Fans of comedy and music will have a chance to see one of Canada’s best-known musical acts for free when The Arrogant Worms perform at The Spire on Friday, June 12.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the show beginning at 7 p.m. The concert is open to the Queen’s University and Kingston community.
The Arrogant Worms, formed in Kingston in 1991, have spent more than three decades entertaining audiences with humorous songs that celebrate and poke fun at Canadian life. One of the band members, Trevor Strong says they didn't expect people to continue to love their music.
The group is best known for fan favourites including “I am Cow,” “The Last Saskatchewan Pirate” and “Canada’s Really Big.”
One of their songs "Dangerous" was actually even played in SPACE, in the Artemis?II shuttle. Strong shares his reaction.
Strong says that he hopes people have fun during the show.
Organizers say the evening will combine laughter, learning and live entertainment while celebrating the lasting value of music education and community connection.
