Families are invited to enjoy games, food and activities at police headquarters on July 25
Kingston Police is inviting residents to celebrate a huge milestone of service with a free Community Fun Fair, Event coordinator Cst. Valerie Hurding explains more.
The event will take place on Saturday, July 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kingston Police Headquarters on Division Street. The celebration is open to everyone and will feature family-friendly activities, entertainment and opportunities to meet officers and staff.
Cst. Hurding says that there will be lots going on.
Visitors can enjoy free barbecue hot dogs, slushies, face painting, bouncy castles, balloon creations, obstacle courses, mini cars and a drone demonstration. Historical police vehicles and equipment will also be on display.
Chief Adam MacIntosh said the event is a way to thank the community for its support over the past 185 years while celebrating Kingston Police's history and future.
The Community Fun Fair is part of the service's 185th anniversary celebrations. Organizers encourage residents of all ages to attend and enjoy an afternoon of fun, connection and community at no cost.
