Public servants, retirees and their families are invited to the Sept. 18 membership event at the Royal Kingston Curling Club.
The Kingston branch of the National Association of Federal Retirees is inviting public servants, retirees and their families to a membership-focused barbecue next month.
The Kingston NAFR & Preferred Partners BBQ will take place Friday, Sept. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Royal Kingston Curling Club on Days Road.
The event is designed to give current members a chance to bring friends, colleagues and family members who are current or retired public servants and introduce them to NAFR and its membership benefits. President Derek Baylis explains what they do.
Tickets cost $10 for NAFR members and $15 for guests. Hamburgers, hot dogs and salads will be served, with a cash bar available.
Attendees can also meet NAFR's Preferred Partners and learn about their services and benefits.
The venue is fully accessible and has indoor seating. Guests may also bring lawn chairs for outdoor seating.
People interested in attending are asked to RSVP by Sept. 9 by email to dvossfederalretireeskingston@gmail.com.
