Run, walk, or roll to support!
Kids Inclusive is back for another Kilometers for Kids Run Walk Roll on Saturday May 31st starting from Kingston Secondary School. This is their sole fundraising event and is known as much for its incredible spirit as for the number of people who hit the streets to raise funds for clients with special needs. Over the past 10 years this event has raised over $250,000 for Kids Inclusive and the families they serve.
A Kids Inclusive client and event ambassador, Dawson explains what it's all about
Dollars raised will be used in various ways to benefit clients as Dawson notes.
Kids Inclusive, formerly known as the Child Development Centre, is located at the Hotel Dieu Hospital site of Kingston Health Sciences Centre in Kingston. As one of 21 Children Treatment Centres in Ontario, they have proudly served children and youth with physical, neurological, and developmental challenges for over 50 years. Their services support families across Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington counties, as well as communities in Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville Counties.
Dawson says it takes a full village to help support their work.
There will be a 1 K and 5 K route and it opens at 8:30 am on Saturday May 31st at Kingston Secondary School at 145 Kirkpatrick St with same-day registrations and cheering squads welcome. You can find donation details at kidsinclusive.ca/getting-involved/kilometers-for-kids or on their Facebook page. Their goal this year is $40K.
