The local rock band will join Peach Pit, Gabriel Jacoby and Katie Tupper for the festival’s first Kingston event.
A new music festival is bringing a familiar Kingston sound to the heart of the city.
RoadTrip Music Festival will make its Kingston debut Sept. 12, turning downtown into a full-day celebration of music, shopping, food and local culture.
Among the artists taking the stage will be Kasador, the Kingston rock band that has built a following across Canada and the United States.
The band, featuring vocalist and guitarist Cameron Wyatt, guitarist Thomas Draper, bassist Boris Baker and drummer Stephen Adubofuor, will perform at Springer Market Square at 7:15 p.m., following Katie Tupper.
Wyatt spoke with KingstonDaily about what it’s like performing in the city where the band got its start.
He also describes what it’s like to perform at Springer Market Square.
Kasador has released two full-length albums, including 2023’s Youth, and has shared stages with artists such as Arkells, July Talk and Sam Roberts Band.
Wyatt also shares what’s next for the band.
RoadTrip will also feature Peach Pit and Gabriel Jacoby on the main stage.
Earlier in the day, free live music will be staged along Princess Street, with performances from Mariel Buckley, Tiny Horse, Absolute Treat, Piner, O Green and Last Call.
Organizers describe RoadTrip as a musical journey through Kingston, ending with an evening concert in Springer Market Square.
