Work completed includes repair work, gardening, painting, and cleaning!
United Way Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington’s annual Day of Caring was a hug success! Last Friday, June 6th, over 400 volunteers helped work on projects at 38 local agencies throughout KFL&A.
To learn more, we spoke with Day of Caring Committee Chair, Kim Peachey, who told us this day began over 20 years ago after they became aware of the need in the KFL&A community.
Every year they reach out to the organizations in KFL&A and see what needs doing. They get up to a wide variety of tasks from maintenance to garden work.
This annual event is a great opportunity for the volunteers to give back, and learn more about the agencies that they support through their annual fundraising campaign.
