What's Good in Kingston: Golf tournament aims to support hospice care in Kingston area

Registration deadline approaching for first-ever Teeing Off Fore Hospice fundraiser in Verona.

Providence Care is reintroducing a golf tournament supporting hospice care in the Kingston area that is teeing off this June, with organizers encouraging players to register before the May 29 deadline.

“Teeing Off Fore Hospice” will take place June 16 at Rivendell Golf Club in support of Providence Care Hospice, including the new AB Smith Homestead House.

Krista Wells Pearce, Vice-President, Corporate Services & Executive Director says the fundraiser will help provide compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care for patients and families across the region.

The tournament will feature 18 holes of golf in a scramble format, including a golf cart, breakfast, BBQ lunch and prizes. Wells Pearce says golfers of all experience levels are welcome to take part.

The cost is $200 per player, with all proceeds supporting hospice programs and services.
