Plenty to do in your own backyard
With drastically reduced Canadian vacation travel to the US and a somewhat rocky economic period upon us, more and more are planning a staycation this summer and how lucky we are to be able to plan Destination Kingston. Tourism Kingston CEO Megan Knott tells us how unique our hometown is.
And there's always something new to discover in our own backyard as Megan notes.
For those who just can't decide where to start, Megan suggests taking advantage of the Hop-on Hop-off trolley which runs every hour from the Visitor Centre on Ontario Street. Its route will take you through a food district of the city that Megan cites as another example of Kingston's unique draw.
You can start your staycation plans today by visiting visitkingston.ca. No passport required.
