What's good in Kingston? Chris Wyman crowned Ontario’s top town crier

Wyman says it's great to win so close to home

The Ontario Town Crier Championships was a successful event this past weekend in Gananoque. Weather changed the location for 14 Criers from across the province to compete.

Kingston's Chris Wyman was declared the winner.

Wyman took home the trophy he created many years ago for the event.

Wyman thanked everyone for showing up and supporting the event.

This was Wyman's 8th provincial title. Each participant did a humourous cry as to what it's like to be a Town Crier. Gananoque Town Crier Brian Mabee was the Master of Ceremonies.
