What's Good in Kingston: Billy Goats Gruff and Other Tales

The Nova Scotia production is coming to Kingston's Grand Theatre on Nov. 16

Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia’s newest production, Billy Goats Gruff and Other Tales is coming to Kingston's Grand Theatre on Sunday November 16th.

Mermaid's Executive Director Danny Everson gives us a snapshot.

Told through live puppetry, music and imaginative imaging and sets, this production has been enjoying tremendous success so far in its 9 month tour.

Danny gives us a little plot preview.

The production is aimed at children, aged 3 to 7, but parents have eaten it up as well. Danny says, this play, like all of their youth-oriented productions are non-shushing events, meaning children are free to get the most out of their live-theatre experience.

Danny points to the value of family entertainment bolstered by great themes as a reason to get tickets.

It's a one-show deal and tickets ranging from $11-$29 are going fast. It takes place at the Rosen Auditorium of the Grand Theatre and is set for 3:30 on Sunday afternoon, November 16th .
