The Rolling Barrage is stopping in Kingston to raise money and awareness of post-traumatic stress disorder.
A group of motorcyclists on a mission will be rolling into the Limestone City.
The Rolling Barrage is coming into town this Monday.
Their appearance in Kingston is to raise money and awareness about post-traumatic stress disorder among first responders, health care workers, and military veterans.
Team lead in Kingston Shaun Prendergast says that is the goal of the Rolling Barrage.
The day starts at 5 pm when the motorcycles roll in front of Kingston City Hall where Mayor Bryan Paterson and Town Crier Chris Whyman will welcome the motorcyclists.
That will be followed by a meet and greet at 5:20, dinner at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 560 on Montreal St. at 6:30, and a performance by the Trevor Walsh Band at the Legion at 8.
Prendegast says this is an opportunity for people to learn from those who had been through the experience of PTSD.
The procession began last Monday in St. John's NL making stops in several towns before arriving in Aldergrove BC on Aug. 16.
Prendegast is a retired Chief Warrant Officer at CFB Kingston.
He says he joined the Rolling Barrage after a number of his former colleagues reached out to him.
Prendegast says it didn't take him long to realize how special this group is.
After a stop over in Kingston, the procession resumes on Tuesday heading to Barrie for their next stop.
