Today: Bellevue House National Historic Site is launching its Sharing Knowledge Series, running Thursdays from July 9 to Sept. 3 from 1 to 3 p.m. Visitors can enjoy hands-on activities led by guest experts, exploring history, culture, heritage practices and storytelling while discovering new skills and perspectives in an engaging setting.
Today: The Great Lakes Museum is inviting visitors to dive into Aquaculture: Farming the Waters, a new exhibit running all day. Through hands-on activities and multimedia displays, guests of all ages can discover how Canadians farm aquatic environments. The bilingual exhibit is included with museum admission.
Today & Tomorrow: Kingston’s 36th Buskers Rendezvous returns today and all this weekend! Transforming downtown into a lively outdoor stage with world-class street performers, family entertainment and circus acts. Visitors should catch Buskers After Dark Friday and Sunday’s Grand Finale, a crowd-pleasing showcase celebrating summer tradition.
Local Sports:
Adult pickleball takes place today at the Kingston Racquet Centre, offering recreational play in a friendly, social setting for various skill levels. Participants bring their own paddles and balls, rotate on shared courts, and enjoy an active afternoon of community recreation.
Adult badminton also takes place later today at Kingston East Community Centre, offering recreational play in a relaxed, social environment for a range of skill levels. Equipment is available, though participants are encouraged to bring their own racquets for an enjoyable evening.
