The organization has become well known in the Kingston area for its work supporting senior and medically fragile dogs
Located just outside of Kingston in Inverary, Sheba's Haven Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for palliative dogs with life-limiting, non-curative illnesses. The rescue gives dogs with special medical needs a safe and loving environment where they can live comfortably and with dignity for the rest of their lives.
Recently, we did a podcast interview that featured Chair and Founder Catherine Pokrywa, Doggie Dad Bill McCormick and volunteer Savannah Shea. The conversation highlighted the rescue’s mission, the emotional realities of palliative animal care, and the dedication required to give dogs facing serious illnesses comfort, love and quality of life.
