Podium finish at the Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway

Kingston's Jessica Power has returned home following a successful trip to the World Short Track Championships at The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Power finished 2nd in the championship race for the Northeast Sportsman division on Saturday November 2nd.

Power said she was surprised that she passed so many cars on this tough track.

She felt she had something to contend for the win, had it not been for a late race red flag.

Power said said the trip was a success but had kepy people to thank that supported her journey.

This was her best career finish at the North Carolina dirt oval and her 5th top 10 finish, which is the most of all drivers in the division at this event.

Fellow Can Am Speedway track regular Dave Rogers from Lafargeville New York was the winner of the race in North Carolina for a second time in four years.
