Kingston moves City Council livestreams to new website platform

You can still keep tabs on the city

If you watch Kingston Council Meetings on the regular, please take note: As of Nov. 5, 2024, the City of Kingston will switch livestreaming of its council and select committee meetings from YouTube to the city’s official website.

The change will affect several key committees, including the Planning Committee, Administrative Policies, and Environment, Infrastructure & Transportation Policies Committee. Arts, Recreation & Community Policies, the Committee of Adjustment, and the Kingston Heritage Properties Committee will also be streamed on the new platform.

Residents will be able to watch meetings directly from the agenda pages. City Council sessions can be found at CityofKingston.ca/Council-Meetings, while committee meetings will be listed at CityofKingston.ca/Committee-Meetings.

The Kingston City Council YouTube channel will still be used for streaming advisory committee meetings, ensuring continued access for viewers.

This update aims to improve access to local government meetings and provide a smoother viewing experience.
