Accused of assaulting student at local school
Kingston Police are investigating an assault incident involving a child and an educator at a school within the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board.
On November 13, 2024, the educator allegedly assaulted the student, causing minor injuries.
The complaint was filed on November 18, 2024, prompting an investigation by authorities.
On November 27, 2024, a 58-year-old individual from Sydenham was arrested and charged with one count of assault. The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
