Sailor for a Day at HMCS Cataraqui is your chance to see what Navy life is all about — whether you’re thinking about earning extra income, building new skills, or stepping out of your comfort zone.
You’ll get a chance to:
• Explore different part-time and full-time career paths
• Chat with local sailors about life in the Navy
• Try your hand at basic sailor skills like knot-tying, line handling, and more
• Enjoy A FREE boat ride and take in views of Kingston’s beautiful skyline
Participants must be 15 or older. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied
by a parent or guardian over 18.
What to Expect:

12:30-1:00 PM – Arrival & Welcome
1:00 PM-3:00 PM – Boat rides & hands-on Navy activities
2:00 PM – Stand Easy (Mix and Mingle, ask us some questions!)
3:00 PM- 4:00 PM –Final activities & Closing Remarks
A few tips:
• Dress for comfort
• Rain or shine — we’ll carry on
• Come ready to learn, ask questions, and have fun!
