ISA Ontario hosts the annual Ontario Tree Climbing Championship Friday Sept 19 and Saturday Sept 20, 2025 at Lake Ontario Park in Kingston, ON. At this fun, competitive, FREE, spectator-friendly event, professional tree climbers from across Ontario will compete for the title of top climber in the province.
This FUN, FREE event is open to the public. You can watch arborists showcase their skills, visit an outdoor industry tradeshow and even try climbing in a “Climb For All Ages” station under the guidance of a professional arborist. We’ll have free educational sessions on: tree planting, and tree pruning.
In the competition, 54 climbers will compete in five preliminary events demonstrating the exceptional skills required to work safely and efficiently in the trees. Preliminary winners will then compete in the Masters’ Challenge on Saturday afternoon. In this final round, the winners (top male and female) will be crowned the Ontario Champions. They’ll earn the honor of representing Ontario at the National and International Championships.
