Our ever-popular Kingston Grandmother Connection Market for Africa is back this year at the Salvation Army Citadel Saturday November 7. Doors open 9 AM at 816 Centennial Dr., Kingston, close at 1 PM.
Come early to secure the best choice among your perennial favourites: African baskets and crafts, African angels, Christmas crafts, handmade Sandglass creations, and sewn or knitted handicrafts. Delicious baked goods, Christmas cakes, jams, jellies, and chilies, our wonderful art and nature photo cards, and the essential eco-products also disappear quickly.
This year in addition to our splendid assortment of pre-loved fashion and jewellery, we’ll also be offering a marvellous array of original art, prints, and new this year, exquisite treasures (e.g. fine ceramics, crystal, handblown glass etc.) for your home. Also a special treat for the holiday season, you’ll be able to order fresh pine door swags (alternative to a wreath) that are adorned with pine cones, ribbon and your choice of wooden decoration. For more fun, you and younger family members can get your faces painted! Other surprises await.
Mark your calendars now and on the morning of November 7, head over to the Salvation Army Citadel. All proceeds to Help Lesotho and Stephen Lewis Foundation Grandmothers to Grandmothers campaign. This is our 20th year of solidarity with African grandmothers raising families in difficult circumstances. We all thank you for your support.
