CELEBRATE CANADA DAY IN SEELEY'S BAY
A Day of Community, Tradition, and Family Fun Returns July 1
Seeley’s Bay, ON—Residents and visitors are invited to celebrate Canada Day in Seeley's Bay on July 1 with a full day of free family-friendly activities, entertainment, and community spirit in the heart of the village.
This year's celebration embraces the charm of a traditional summer picnic, encouraging families to gather with lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and picnic baskets to enjoy the festivities throughout the day. While the community canteen is taking a year off this year, visitors can enjoy special Canada Day food offerings from local businesses, including hot dog and hamburger specials at Lala's, while the Township will once again be serving ice cream.
New this year are old-fashioned picnic games for children and families, including potato sack races, three-legged races, tug-of-war, and other classic favourites that bring generations together for some friendly competition. Visitors can also try their hand at axe throwing, adding a unique new activity to this year's celebration.
The day will also feature many community favourites, including the Canada Day Parade, live entertainment, family activities, community displays, and a spectacular fireworks display at dusk over the village.
Canada Day in Seeley's Bay has become a cherished tradition for residents, seasonal visitors, and guests from across the region. Organized entirely by volunteers and supported by local sponsors, businesses, and community organizations, the celebration reflects the strong sense of community that makes Seeley's Bay such a special place to live and visit.
"Canada Day in Seeley's Bay is all about bringing people together," says the organizing committee. "It's an opportunity to celebrate our country, connect with neighbours, welcome visitors, and create memories that will last long after the fireworks have ended."
All events are made possible through the generosity of sponsors, volunteers, community organizations, and local businesses.
For event schedules, parade information, and updates, visit www.seeleysbaycanadaday.ca or follow Canada Day in Seeley's Bay on Facebook.
We look forward to celebrating with you on July 1 – rain or shine!
