Some events are more than events. They are moments when a community comes together to show what matters. The Canadian Walk for Veterans is one of those moments.

This year, we're inviting Veterans, serving military members, military families, businesses, organizations, community groups, and residents from across the region to walk shoulder-to-shoulder in support of those who serve and the families who serve alongside them.

Whether you have a military connection or not, everyone is welcome.

🎖️ Walking in Honour of MWO (Ret'd) Jean Blain
This year's Canadian Walk for Veterans is dedicated to the memory of Master Warrant Officer (Ret'd) Jean Blain, who passed away in June.

Jean was a passionate advocate for Veterans, military members, and military families. He was a familiar face at the Canadian Walk for Veterans and a steadfast supporter of its mission. His commitment to service, community, and supporting others left a lasting impact on countless people. We are proud to honour his legacy by naming this year's walk in his memory. We are also honoured to welcome Claude Blain, Jean's brother, as we celebrate Jean's enduring contribution to the Veteran and military community.

☕ Start the Morning with Starbucks
Arrive early and enjoy complimentary refreshments from our friends at Starbucks who will be hosting a beverage station during the check-in hour while reconnecting with friends, colleagues, community partners, and fellow supporters.

Hear from military leaders, community leaders, and elected officials as we officially open the event, including:

🎶 A Proud Canadian Moment
Join us for the National Anthem performed by the Canadian Military Wives Choir, followed by a ceremonial kick-off led by the Legion Colour Party and the stirring sounds of the PWOR Pipes and Drums.

🏛️ Walk Through History
Participants will enjoy a unique route through the beautiful grounds of the Royal Military College of Canada, including a stroll through the iconic RMC Arch, one of Kingston's most recognizable military landmarks.

💧 Supported Every Step of the Way
Our hydration stations are generously supported by SAC Kingston and BrainStim, helping keep participants energized throughout the walk.

Additional beverages for the BBQ are being provided through the generous support of Coca-Cola Bottling Kingston.

🪙 Every Walker Receives a Commemorative Coin
All registered participants will receive a special Canadian Walk for Veterans commemorative coin as a token of appreciation and remembrance of their participation.

🍔 Stay for the Celebration
The experience doesn't end at the finish line.

Jack Astor's Bar and Grill (Kingston) will be firing up the BBQ, and participants can enjoy an incredible live performance by Music Healing Veterans, creating an atmosphere of celebration, connection, and community.
